Accelerated Reader is a reading scheme we use in KS2. It is tailored to each individual child and their own abilities and needs. Children take a star reader test each term which gives them a range of books which they can choose and read, specifically aimed at their reading capabilities. After they have read each book, they take a quiz which checks their level of understanding. Teachers are able to assess their children’s reading regularly and ensure they are making progress.
