Churchfield CE Academy joined the Diocese of St Albans Multi Academy Trust (DSAMAT) on 1st March 2017.
We are a friendly, caring school committed to good relationships, high quality teaching and high expectations, within a Christian ethos where every individual is valued.
As parents/carers, you are welcomed into the school. You play an important part in the education of your child and it is our hope that this will be the beginning of a happy and rewarding home school partnership. We hope you will regard Churchfield as your school as well as your child’s.
The school is arranged into 12 classes according to age. Each class has a maximum of 30 pupils and is led by a teacher and additional support where necessary.
The school maintains its traditions of allocating children to a house group on admission to the school. The house group is in place to promote a sense of responsibility towards one another and the wider community and helps us to deliver our key aims to develop successful learners, confident and creative individual and responsible citizens.
All classrooms are fitted with computers and interactive whiteboards and the children are taught information technology in the classroom, where controlled internet access is available. We work hard to keep pace with the fast developing world of information technology.
We are committed to ensuring that all our pupils feel safe, enjoy their learning and understand the importance of health and fitness.
During the school day a monitored entry system is in place to ensure the safety of the children. Please press the buzzer at the front door to speak to the secretary who will indicate when the door is released for your entry.
